This project involved studying the work of Christoph Niemann and creating a typographic design inspired by his illustrative style. The objective was to select a meaningful quote that avoided cliché or overly sentimental “poster” aesthetics, resulting in the phrase “Creativity is like chasing chickens.” I developed custom illustrations of chickens in Niemann’s playful, conceptual style to visually support the typography and enhance the narrative. The final design was scaled and applied as a 44 × 44 inch vinyl installation, produced and installed collaboratively with a team of three. The outcome demonstrates a balance of typography and illustration while translating a designer’s visual language into a large-scale.
